Zachary Clouser exemplified bravery, selflessness, and an unwavering commitment to serving his country. Born and raised in Dover, PA, Zach enlisted in the United States Army shortly after graduating high school in 2005. His journey as an Infantry Soldier began at Fort Benning, Georgia, where he completed rigorous training before joining his first duty station in Schweinfurt, Germany. Dedicated and disciplined, Zach spent seven months in intensive preparation before being deployed to Iraq with the Big Red One, Dagger Brigade, and Blue Spader unit on his 19th birthday in 2006.
Tragically, Zach lost his life on July 18, 2007, during a routine patrol in northeastern Baghdad when his vehicle was struck by an IED. Despite his untimely passing, Zach’s legacy endures as a symbol of courage and sacrifice. His commitment to improving lives through service inspires the foundation's work to support veterans in need. By honoring his memory, the foundation ensures that his spirit of giving continues to touch lives and uplift those who served.
